Jeanne Reith debuted as a chanteuse at age 12. The pupil of an Irish Catholic Nun her first songs were Irish folk and classics. But Jeanne burst into Jazz at 15 when she discovered music of Ella Fitzgerald, Quince Jones and Sara Vaughn. She was an award-winning vocalist at age 17, she won scholarship to an arts college where she studied Opera. But her love for jazz couldn't be held back and she left university to follow a career that would bring her back to music a decade later. Jeanne has sung in musical comedies, recorded her own album, "On My Way", writes music, arranges harmony vocals but most of all she delves into the heart of songs and makes them her own. No doubt the influence of the jazz greats have moved her music forever. |
